Getting the Most out of Your Amazon Prime Membership

It’s no secret that we love Amazon around here, and both of us have a Prime membership that we covet. I know for me personally, a week does not go by that I’m not utilizing my Prime membership to order something from Amazon – whether it be something fun or things for my household. What exactly is Amazon Prime? You pay a monthly fee of $10.00 or a yearly fee of $99. Paying this fee gives you access to Prime Free 2-Day shipping which is typically the biggest appeal when someone is considering getting a Prime Membership. However, I’m here today to let you know ALL the things available to you as Prime Member and share some of the ways that I personally maximize my Prime Membership on a regular basis.

Alright so what exactly do you get as a Prime member?

As you can see that is an extensive list. Most of the things on the list are just outright free because you are already paying for Prime. And some of the things on that list cost a little extra BUT not as much extra if you weren’t a Prime Member. It can actually be overwhelming – so much so that you may think…I’d never use all of that. And if I’m not using all of that…is it really worth it? Yes my friend. It is so worth it. Let me show you a few of the ways that I utilize my Prime Membership in my everyday life. 🙂

Obviously I use that Prime Free 2-Day shipping when purchasing things from Amazon. Clicking the little prime filter option on the left hand side of the screen is the very first thing I do before I even consider looking at what’s available after I search for something. But I mean this is a no brainer. This quick and free shipping is probably why you’re even considering Prime in the first place. It’s for sure a giant bonus.

Sometimes. And I mean sometimes I don’t need rush shipping on something I’m buying. Did you know that you can Earn Rewards or Discounts with Free No-Rush Shipping when you have a Prime Membership? Yup. Say you’re ordering something that you don’t need right away and can wait 6-7 days for. Click the FREE No Rush Shipping Option and you’ll receive either a discount or some kind of reward!

I use Prime Music every single day. Literally. I don’t listen to the radio. You get access to tons of music for free simply because you have a Prime Membership. I used this basic access for a while. Just recently I upgraded to Amazon Music Unlimited which is just $7.99 a month, because I am already a Prime Member. This $7.99 has given me access to more current hits. There has literally not been a single song or album that I’ve searched for that was not available for me to listen to. I think an extra eight dollars a month is worth it considering I’m not having to buy music and I don’t need to supplement my listening needs through any other venue.

Prime Video has not only been something that I turn to when looking for entertainment, but it is another great source for me to find something for the kids to watch. They have a lot of TV Shows and Movies available to watch for free. Cooper went through a phase where he watched Fireman Sam every single day. And it was free because of Prime Video!

And last but certainly not least, I use Prime Photo to backup the pictures on my phone. As a prime member I have free unlimited photo storage. All you have to do is download the app and set it to automatically backup.

Obviously, I didn’t tell you how I use EVERY thing available to me as a Prime Member, but I just wanted to show you some of the ways that I’m using my Prime Membership on a daily/weekly basis without even thinking twice in most instances. Amazon Prime has just become a natural part of my life. It would definitely be an adjustment to all of a sudden not have it around! Anyway, I hope I shed some light on the things that you get/can get as a Prime Member.

Do you guys have a Prime Membership? What’s your favorite way to use it?
