January 2018 : Amazon Subscribe & Save

Hey hey! Happy Monday party people! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you’re having a fantastic day. We’ve got lots and lots of dreary rain in our South Mississippi weather forecast. Thankfully, I”ll be at work through most of it. For me, the worst part of rainy weather is when you have to be out and about in it. And listen, at any given moment I have a ton of product in my hair that would not do well if it were to be drenched in water. So yeah, I like to stay out of the rain and stare it through a window. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, to the point of this post! Today, I wanted to share with you my January 2018 Subscribe and Save purchases, because for real though. Amazon plays a major role in my everyday life. If I see something I like, I immediately open my Amazon App to see if I can get it through there with Prime Shipping. And usually – I can. Cause Amazon is Boss.

Why use Subscribe and Save? Well, I love S&S because it allows me to have our household essentials set up for periodic delivery without me having to think about it. I am so that person that is running back to the store multiple times a week because I’ve forgotten things like toothpaste, body wash, or toilet paper. Cause ain’t nobody got time to think about those things when I’m also trying to buy a week’s worth of groceries. You know? AND if convenience wasn’t enough of a reason – I save money doing it! For every month you automatically get 5% off any S&S order. If you have at least five items in a month’s delivery, you will get 15% off!! Who doesn’t love convenience and saving money?? I don’t have to deal with looking for sales or coupons – because Amazon figures all that out for me.

I linked directly to the items that Amazon would allow. ๐Ÿ™‚ So if you don’t see a link, just search for it in the Amazon search bar.ย

  1. St Ives Body Wash– This body wash is great for my dry skin and the scent is not too over powering. I get this delivery every two months (pack of 6 13.5oz bottles)
  2. Opti-Free Contact Solution – I wear contacts on a daily basis and as a result I use a TON of cleaning solution. I get this delivery (2pk) every other month.
  3. Palmolive Dish Soap – I do not have a dish washer…so dish soap is a must. I get this delivery every month (twin pack of 32.5 oz bottles).
  4. Cottonelle Toilet Paper – I get this 36ct pack every month. Cause we are toilet paper hoarders. lol

5. Huggies Pull-Ups – Let me just tell you, if you are still buying diapers or pull ups and you have Amazon Prime and you are not utilizing this service…you are cray. I’m getting at least $5 off the average retail price for this box just because I buy it through Subscribe and Save.
6. Colgate Optic White – this three pack comes every two months
7. Glad Force Flex Trash Bags – These bags are the best. I get this box of 68 bags every month.

The Savings Break Down:

Based on Amazon Prices, meaning if I just on a whim went and order each one of these separately and didn’t have them set up for delivery, I saved $33.49.ย

In the grand scheme of things $33 may not seem like a monumental amount of savings, BUT it is like nine extra days of Starbucks for me…any extra Starbucks is a win in my book. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What about you guys? Do y’all use Subscribe and Save? What kinds of things do you get?

Amazon Subscribe and Save

Hey you guys! Hope the beginning of your week is going fabulously, and I’m super glad you decided to come check us out today! Sooo as you can tell from my title I’m going to be talking about Amazon’s Subscribe and Save feature that they offer. What IS Subscribe and Save??

So basically I use Amazon S&S to stock our household with all those necessities that I buy month after month. Why use Amazon S&S? Well.. First of all I get a discount on the items. When I set up my monthly subscriptions, I made sure to scour WalMart and Target and make sure that they didn’t have cheaper deals. Secondly, it just makes things easier. I can set up these monthly deliveries and not have to think about remembering those things in addition to the MILLION other things I buy when I’m at WalMart or Target. Amazon sends me an email each month reminding me of what I have coming and let’s me know the deadline for updating my order. Most months – I don’t even touch it…or think about it for that matter. I have done a little overhauling lately BUT that was the first time in months that I’d had to.

If you are an Amazon Prime Member and use their S&S service you automatically save 20% on all diapers and pull-ups. This savings was the main reason I started using the S&S service. For a while, I had two littles in diapers/pull-ups. That gets expensive…so any little bit of savings is appreciated.

When you have four or more subscriptions coming to your house in one month (i.e. five items) you save an additional 5% on each item. If you increase your monthly delivery to five items, you will save 15% on each item. You may think you wouldn’t need that many items delivered each month, but I’m telling you…I reach the five amount several months..with ease. There honestly hasn’t been something I wanted to add to my subscription that the Amazon S&S Store didn’t have. So yeah. Basically…you need to look into this service. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok now …what am I ordering every month??

Those are the next four months of my S&S orders. You can see visually see the frequency…but let’s chat about that for a bit.

  1. Cottonelle Toilet Paper – 36 ct (I order two ย of these) each month
  2. Mrs. Meyer’s Liquie Hand Soap (Lavendar Scent) – This is actually a new addition. I have it set to every month right now, but I may change it to every other. We shall see!
  3. Amazon Elements Baby Wipes – 720 ct I have this set for every other month. Obviously I use these for wiping butts … however I always end up finding all kinds of other various reasons to whip them out on the daily. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Pull Ups – These are for Soso. I get a 74 ct box each month.
  5. Opti Free Contact Solution – I get one pack of two 10 oz bottles each month. I used to just do every other month, but I found that I was continually running out…so I increased the frequency.
  6. Palmolive Dish Soap – I get a 2 pack of 38 fl oz bottles each month. This frequency works well for us, because we don’t have a dishwasher so we was use a crap ton of dish soap! (You don’t see it on my May order because it is currently unavailable so Amazon temporarily stopped the delivery…as soon as they get it in stock they ship it out at no extra cost.)
  7. Scotch Brite Sponges – I get an 18 ct pack every five months which has worked out well so far!

And that’s it you guys. These are the things I have on rotation currently, but one of the greatest things about S&S is the flexibility with which you have to change and move things around. The offer a suggested frequency with which to order things…which is what I did and then tweeked things in the beginning as I learned how much we used of each product.

Thanks for reading along! And thank you Whimsical September for the inspiration for this post! What about y’all…do you use Amazon S&S or some other form of bulk purchasing for your necessities?
