If you’ve been following along at all, you guys know that we recently moved. Like last weekend – recent. It was a much need and long anticipated move. We needed more space and to be in an area of town where we could plant roots and prepare to see the kiddos grow for years to come. Also, we just needed more space. Our house was TINY!
I’m so happy to have this new chapter of our lives laying out before us, but I am feeling a little nostalgic for all the memories that we left behind on Glendale Road.
Cooper was just six months old when we moved in there in August of 2013. Sophie came home from the hospital to our little house on Glendale. And even though Cooper is now just five and Sophie is only almost three, these two will have solid memories of our time spent on Glendale. I wanted to celebrate all those memories and make a little milestone post showing how they’ve grown up over the years that we lived there.
I tried to find a picture from the beginning of each year and one from the end. All these pictures were taken in or outside our house. I will always look back on them and treasure our time there.
I can’t with these babies and the way they insist on growing older. Please excuse me while I cry over here. And thank you so much for going down memory lane with me.
We had a blast living on Glendale….but I can’t wait to see and experience life in our new home!
What a damn week. Holy crap. If you follow us on social media (and I mean, if you don’t, that’s ridiculous), you already know that I moved. Well it was a hell of a move and we are still settling in and unpacking.
Because of the move, things have really blurred together and can barely remember anything that happened before moving day last week. Tuesday, while I was getting ready to take the kids to the pool, we found out that we got the house. It was extremely shocking, because we had so many issues with finding and being approved for something we loved.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday was a lot of working and preparing to move. So much packing and it’s funny how it goes – you start out packing very organized with labels on everything….and quickly devolve into throwing shit into garbage bags.
Friday, we got the keys to the house in the evening and took the kids inside for the first time. I was so happy to look around again, because there were lots of details I had completely forgotten.
Once we left, we went home to grill at the apartment one last time.
And then, it was Moving Day. Holy hell. TWENTY HOURS. Stuart, me, and 4 crazy ass kids.
It was finally done and the unpacking and settling in commenced.
And that was my crazy-ass week. Who else freaking HATES moving?!
So, you may (or more likely, may have not) noticed the lack of posts by me lately. When my apartment flooded last week and the water fried my beloved MacBook Elizabeth, I was lost in my blogging pattern. Not only did I not have my trusty machine, but I also did not have time to compose something on my iPhone app. I had to deal with all the ridiculousness that comes with a flooded apartment, including but not limited to, speeding up our search for a rental house. We are just so completely done with our townhouse. It’s too small and so freaking old that we literally have maintenance here every week.
We have looked at countless houses and applied for several. We finally got a break today when we were approved for our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE HOUSE! We felt immediately at home the moment we walked in the door and I just had a feeling it was ours. I am so glad I was right.
It is the perfect home for our big little family. Stay tuned to our Facebook page, where I will be doing a LIVE tour on move in day! You can also look forward to some decorating and organizing posts!
And please keep being patient as I work out my blogging equipment issues. Currently writing this one from my OLD macbook pro, Estelle. It took me 3 hours to boot her up and I am now trying to not let her go to sleep for fear she will never wake up.
